NOTES:

The Outsiders were Danny Steere (rhythm guitar/vocals), Dennis Nickell (drums/vocals), Jim Messina (lead guitar) and Fred Boese (bass guitar/vocals). Danny Steere sang lead on "Big Boy Pete". Fred Boese both sang and wrote "Ferrari".

The original version of "Go Go Ferrari" sold modestly, but the bands "claim to fame" is that the song was later covered by the "Untamed Youth", and it appears on several of their albums. It has also been covered by a Belgian group known as the "Moondawgs". The version also appears on a compilation album issued by Kramden Records (#102) called "Hipsville, Vol. 2".

To date, known recordings of "Ferrari" are as follows:

(1) Original on Cha Cha (#724), released in 1965.

(2) A version is found on a 60's-style compilation album called "Hipsville, Vol. 2", released on Kramden label (#102) initially in 1985 and I believe again in 1995.

(3) There are three cover versions by the "Untamed Youth":

(a) On their "Some Kinda Fun" album on Norton label (#207),released in 1989.

(b) On their "Live from the Fabulous Las Vegas Strip" album on the Estrus label (#1223), released in 1995.

(c) On their "Untamed Melodies" album on the Norton label (#249) in 1996.

(4) There is also a limited edition of a 4-song EP by the Moondawgs, a Belgian group, bearing no label name but containing runoff #AH10811. (Circa 2001)

Another release of "Ferrari" may be in the works.
