The band recorded this single and some others in Chicago, Illinois. The bands name was ICE but there were apperently three other bands by the same name in the US so the record company asked them to change their name. Jimmy Lee came up with Zukus. The band was from Indianapolis, Indiana and played alot in town as one of the favorite acts due to the fact that they were the first act in Indy to perform All Original sets. They opened shows for other national bands like Three Dog Night,Kenny Rogers,The Guess Who,Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Tony Orlando and Dawn, The Classics 5 and others. Around 1969 or 70 some promoters were putting together a "Woodstock" if you will in the Hammond area and Zukus was one of the invited bands along side the legendary Led Zeppelin. Bill Overman, the booking manager for Zukus, owned Carosel Productions attempted to get the band signed for the show, but the farmers in the area petitioned and had the show cancelled and it was just never booked again the band split in 1971.
