Hamptons on the Mysterious Marage Label. Funky disco cut "Keep on Doin' It" backed by the singing "No Doubt About it"

Clarnce Mann and True Image tear it up with "Boogie Place" and bring it down for "Come What May"

Clarence Mann brings it on with "Sadity Lady" backed with an  instumental version of the same song.

Cia McCloud's "Live My Life (The Way I Please)" backed by the same with H. Bledsoe on vocals.

K. Dodson - "Can't You Understand" on Flowers records.

Charlotte Bailey's amazing soulful blues with "Bang Bang" Jimmy Coe manages an instrumental version of the song on the flip.

Rare white label promo of Love Man on both sides. Look-Out 009 PROMO

Incredibly rare version of Dick Melvin and the Hamilton Movement's "Dance Man" on Soundwaves Records. Promo only if I am not mistaken. Flip is instumental. THe vocal version was later released on KB's Enterprize as by Melvin Brown.

Fifth and Final (?) Record on the famous Blue Eagle Label that featuers the Four Sensations as well as the Fabulous Moonlighters. "Check Yourself" backed by "Quotation(By Martin Luther King)"

Enchanting Enchanters "Boss Action" no Ben Mo Keith. Very rare Steel Town side project. Awesome Funk!@

Alternate and superior acetate of the Clarence Mann song "Come What May" Email me for an mp3 of this interesting version if you are into modern soul. Flip side is another take, much more agressive on "Boogie Place"

Stupdendous and Righteous soul from Amnesty! Lord Help me is pure funk. Don't sleep on this thinking it's a gospel!  Flip is a mediocre track, "Three Cheers for my Baby"

VERY good northern soul from Terra Haute Indiana by the mysterious George (Juke) Byrd?

Funder Cooper on Lamp. Some people really like this track, but to me it's only so-so. Still very interesting with Billy Wooten on vibes.

HARD funk rock with "Gotta Get Next to you" but the real sleeper is the stinging modern crossover "Say What You Mean" on the flip. MASSIVE. Does anyone have another copy of this?

Poor production mars Steve Mason's second outing on his own label. Cool design though, huh?

Pretty good funk tune by Funk St. Workshop. Apparently rather rare. Even the label owner didn't have one.

This most certainly my favorite record I've found recently. Montecarlos supposedly was actually pressed on a label called "Pure Soul" but all I could get from the producer was this white label test pressing. He doesn't even remember the track names or members of the group. Issued in late 69. AMAZING GROUP SOUL WITH FLUTE!

Humongous Organ funk with righteous lyrics! Just got to be Free! Flip is equally amazing slow group ballad with massive sweet vocal delivery!

Amazing to think this is the same Presidents that recorded Gold Walk. This is a top-notch recording in the Tighten-up tradition of late 60s dance craze songs. One of my top favorites at the moment! Rather rare I would guess as well.

Wierd funky 45 credicted to Jimmy Scruggs. You can date this by the flip which is a radio spot for the Indiana Pacers that the team was in the ABA, which means early 70s. But this side, credited to doo-wop legend Jimmy Scruggs is a bit mysterious since Scruggs doesn't sing! It's a wierd wah-wah instrumental that sounds like a Shaft knockoff with a very strange guitar part.

Incredible Black Magic on Bet It's a Hit.

Strong Message / Brainwash.

Oscar "Baby" Jones Organ 45. Good Groove / Lava Room Rock

Johnny Soul - Funky Push Push on Pure Love

Steady Wailin' Sid - Ora Lee / Mannix.

Nice mid-70s funk from obscure Indiana location!

Steady Sid's

Protect Your Heart / Pig

Jimmy Ridley and Themadones (The Mad Ones!) - Here we are on Knight Records. Doowop with garage sound

Universals Band - Two sided acetate with "Aint't that a Shame" and "I Need You". Unconfirmed but probably from Northern Indiana. (Courtesy Dante)

Junei -

"You Must Go On" / "Let's Ride"
